Beech Components (Steamed): In addition to finished boards, we also manufacture precisely crafted beech components, sections made from beech (Fagus sylvatica L.), designed for manufacturers who require consistent quality and precise dimensions for their own production. Every component undergoes steaming and strict quality control according to internationally recognized standards.
Technical Requirements
The material used for the components is entirely common beech, with no mixture of other wood species. The timber must undergo steaming before processing. Each component is planed to a smooth, even surface, with the front and back faces kept parallel, and edges that are intact and perpendicular, ensuring a precise fit during installation. Sections are glued without gaps, using an adhesive of the client’s choice.
The moisture content of finished beech sections is strictly maintained within a range of 9% ± 2%, guaranteeing material stability during further processing and long-term use.
Custom Dimensions and Manufacturing on Request
As standard, we manufacture sections with a width of no less than 50mm. For specific client needs, custom dimensions are also possible, including lengths under 2000mm or cross-sections under 20×50mm, by prior agreement. Sections of lower quality grades are made only by special arrangement and are not offered for export as a standard product.
Quality Control
Products are accepted in batches, groups of components with the same type, wood species, quality, and dimensions. The client has the right to a control inspection via a random sample of up to 5% of the batch. If more than 3% of the inspected components fail to meet the standard during inspection, the entire batch is declared non-standard, ensuring fairness and transparency in the relationship with the client.
Each component also undergoes additional testing: measurement of dimensions and profiles, checking of curvature and squareness with precision instruments, inspection for wood defects, and moisture control with a moisture meter, or, in disputed cases, by the weighing method.
Packaging and Labeling
Finished sections are packaged in bundles, each containing components of the same type, species, dimensions, and quality. The bundles are secured at both ends with plastic strapping (10–15mm wide, 0.3–0.5mm thick), and each batch receives a permanent marking stamp with information on the country and manufacturing company, component type, dimensions, and quality.
Storage and Transport
To preserve the material’s consistent properties, beech sections are stored in enclosed, clean, and dry premises with controlled humidity, protected from sunlight and pests. For transport, we use only enclosed vehicles, and every delivery is accompanied by an official certificate of quality.
